Henry Trader IV had two sons that I know of: Henry and Joshua Henry. My line descends from Henry who married Sally Wilkins who had two daughters, Amelia and Elizabeth Smith Trader. Amelia Trader married my third great grandfather, John Smith, in 1830 in Nanticoke Hundred. You were asking about John Henry? I'm sure that is your family as that name appears in the Trader lines. I'm sure Janet can answer that as Ida Ellen is her great grandmother. Joni Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [DESUSSEX] Woottens in Gumboro, Delaware
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: IWantToKnowTheirStories Surnames: Wootten Smith Ake Moore Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.delaware.counties.sussex/3243/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm trying to locate information about the Woottens from Gumboro, De. Jacob Ralph and Lida M. Wootten lived here with their son, Clinton R. Jacob Ralph's father was Jacob E, married to Elizabeth. Isaac F. was the father to Jacob E. Any information would be great. The Beers map of 1868 shows several I. Woottens here. Also any info on the home where Lida and Clinton still lived in 1930 would be great. Clinton died young and Lida remained here after. I do know that a Harley Moore bought the house at an auction (date unknown) and that it then went to Dale Parker, and then Lizzie West and then to Dan and Mary Tracy. I am looking for info about the house prior to Harley Moore buying it. The Akes may have been very early owners, pre 1800. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: IWantToKnowTheirStories Surnames: Ake Wootten Wooten Acke Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.delaware.counties.sussex/3242.4.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thanks Tedd! Any suggestions re: how to begin to search for death records for a Sarah (Sallie) Ake after 1870? She appears on the census in 1860 in Gumboro, in 1870 in both Gumboro and in the Pittsburg district of Wicomico ( working for the Bratten family). Other researchers have listed her as deceased after that date. I can't find any record of her deceased or otherwise. I have narrowed it down that she was the daughter of Thomas and Anda (Auda). Auda died and Thomas married Elizabeth Baker before Sarah (Sallie) was 13. It does appear that I live in Thomas D. Ake's house. I also need to see if I can locate records of the sale of this house (and the Ake's store that was on the property) from the Ake's to the Woottens (or others in between). The Beers map of 1868 shows that Isaac Wootten was here then, and had the store. Thanks for your help so far, I hope I'm not being pesky with my requests for help :) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
