I did have Rachel A., but did't know her last name, and dau. Amanda P., but not who she married. A lot of Josephs married into the Warrington, Rust, MeGee, and Johnson families. I didn't have Cornelius, but know the name runs thru the Warrington family. Was the Dodd related to Ronald Dodd that lived for years by Morris Millpond? That's the same general area that a lot of these families lived in. Your info helped me locate John Pride Warrington, but he is not listed on the census with Kendall's family, and Sally married when she was 13yrs old, so she is only in one census. Since she is my husband's gr grandmother we have personal knowledge of her. She married a Davidson after Phillip Johnson died, but my mother-in-law can't remember his first name, and he doesn't show up with Sally in any census, so he must have died before the next census. Have lots of info on these families if you need anything, let me know. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My gr-gr uncle Purnal Coverdale and possibly some of his brothers (Jacob, Jeramiah, Levin,) went there per census records, but that is all I have on them. Purnal's father was Luke Coverdale of Duck Creek Hundred, Kent County, DE b. 1795, d: 17 Mar 1860; wife was Jane Wright b. abt 1812, d. after Jun 1870. They also had a son listed in Luke's will as Major. I can find no other info on Major, and wonder if this is a name or a military rank. any info would be appreciated, and have more to share if these are the same families. I do know on my husband's side of the family, he had a gr gr grandfather MeGee, who when enlisted in the Civil War the clerk spelled his name the way it sounded, and when he later applied for a pension, he had to appy using the misspelling, Magee. That type of error frequently occurred with census takers too. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
