First she was listed as Maggie A. Joseph age 20 with a child age 2. I would guess that her middle initial is either for Ann or her maiden name. She was probably married in Sussex Co., DE on or before 1858. Both her parents and Levi P. Joseph's parents were born in Delaware. I would contain your search to Sussex Co. for now. Depending on what hundred Dagsborough is in, you may want to check neighboring counties. I did see a possible candidate in William L Morris and Maranda L Morris listed in 1880 DE Dagsborough, Sussex Co., with four children. You might want to check their marriage date and 1870 DE Census listing. There are several Joseph families in Dagsborough in 1800 DE Census. I have done extensive research on Somerset, Worcester and Wicomico Morris' and know that some branches headed north into Sussex. Keep me posted. Good luck, Paul

Hi list, In the past, I have always asked, at the cemetery office, who pays for the perpetual care or for the upkeep of the graves. This helps you find other relatives, (mostly ones still living). Of course I would ask who purchase the lot & who now owns it. Now, I know to ask for affidavits, too! :) I sent to Woodlawn Cemetery, in the Bronx, for records. When I received the info I received something I never thought of pertaining to the owners of cemetery lots -- affidavits. The affidavits show who the cemetery lots were handed down to through the family -- giving the person's name(s) & relationships. Interesting! In Reply to Bonnie Murphy's search for a William Ross, b. 1800 - 1803 in Delaware. We have here in Delaware, William H. Ross, who served as Delaware's Governor from, I believe, (1857-1859). Governor William H. Ross resided in Seaford, DE. and his Wife's name was Elizabeth. Their Mansion still stands to this day in Seaford. I have reenacted many times at the Ross Mansion during the Town & County fair, held every Labor Day, in September. I wondered if your William could be from this same Ross Family line? Looking for the parents and siblings of William ROSS born about 1800 to 1803 in the State of Delaware. Moved at an early age to Ross County, Ohio. Married Elizabeth CORY, from New Jersey on the 28 Jan 1823 in Ross County, OH. William was of Scotch Irish decent. Anyone else working on this line of ROSSes? Bonnie W.
