Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.delaware.counties.sussex/1849.2.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I don't have much on Nancy Johnson Wyatt but what I do have is that Nancy Wyatt was named as a sister (actually a half sister) of Lemuel Johnson in a Sussex County Orphan Court Case volume H, page 4. The case involved the division of Lemuel Johnson's land who was survived by eight brothers and sisters: 1. Samuel Johnson, Jr, 2. Patience Johnson. 3. Sally Johnson 4. Nancy Wyatt 5. Betsy Johnson 6. Mills Johnson 7. Arcada Johnson 8. Brinkley Johnson. This case was dated 11/18/1800. The land was in Indian River Hundred, Sussex County Delaware. As for dates, I know that Samuel Johnson, Sr died in 1800. Nancy was listed as Nancy Wyatt so she would have been married at this time. Samuel Johnson, Jr would have been born about 1774 (according to one source). Arcada Johnson was baptised on 6/13/1786. And Brinkley Johnson was probably born about 1786. There are several marriages of IMES, MOORE and WILSON ancestors who lived in Juniata and Franklin County, PA. We have a JAMES MOORE, born in 1849 and son of Thomas and Catherine (Cuff) Imes. We don't know of any wife or children for him, or where and when he died but he had 8 siblings: Mary, Rachel, Sarah, Susanna, Rebecca, Benjamin, John and Carson. Thomas (James' father) was one of 12 children of James and Rachel Moore. We believe James may have been born in Delaware circa 1794. Let me know if there's any connection to your line of Moores.
