In looking for death dates I noticed the William B. Records family cemetery listed in Find A Grave with the interments listed but no pictures. In digging around to find out where this is (closest I've found is on Route 24 in Laurel) I found that Chuck Swift did an inventory of Laurel cemeteries and this cemetery was included, so I presume it's still accessible in some way? I'm going to be in DE for a couple of weeks in June and plan on doing some exploring and wanted to include finding this cemetery in my list of things to find. Anyone heard of this cemetery and even better have a more specific location as to where it is? Hi Emily, You can see this Records Cemetery on Google maps. Rt. 24 runs west from Laurel to the Maryland line. Just past the curve is an unnamed (farm) lane on the north side of 24. Satellite view will show the stones. Directly across is a long circular drive to a farmhouse. On this Collins Farm, are at least two other family cemeteries; Moore and Kinnikin/Wals(t)on. Our research netted 67 Records and 91 Spicers throughout the Laurel area with several family cemeteries for each family. There is also a brief genealogy of the Wm. B. Records cemetery in our book. Be sure to add the Laurel Public Library to your list on your visit to Laurel. Chuck Swift

Hi Stewart and Vickie Betts Sorenson, After checking my files I see that I do not have a Philip Betts in my data. I do have quite a bit on Samuel Betts, b. about 1730 in MD later DE), and moved to GA with some of his children. Please let me know if you need more. Jonathan was born around 1745 and died in 1824. His children lived in Dagsboro and Broad Creek Hundred. Most of them moved on to Pickaway and Paulding Counties in Ohio and Pike County, Illinois. As there were numerous Betts families with similar names, it is quite confusing to say the least. Any help is greatly appreciated. My research agrees that Jaquish Jr. was of Jacquish, named in will probated 19 NOV 1811l. Jr. m. Francis MacClenachan but how could her father have been a Hudson if she was a MacClenachan? I am very interested in info on McKimmey Hudson.
