Hi and I guess I will start. I was so happy to see that a Desjardins mailing list had been started! Hoping we can help each other! My great grandfather was Joseph Desjardins. The only information I have on him is that he was supposed to have been from Canada and that he married Philomene Boucher in Chicago, Illinois in 1883. At the time he was 35 years old. They had one child, born in Chicago, Leontine "Emma" Desjardins. That is all the information that I have on him or his wife. Nothing before the marriage and nothing after! I do have two death certificates from Cook County for Joseph Desjardins that are not him. I would be happy to pass them on to someone who can use them!
