There is also Odile, Ida, Adelard, Ernest, Alberta and Conrad. Unfortunately I cannot find them in the 1901 census under any variation of the Desjardins name. Ida married Joseph Olivier Seguin ( my grandparents) on 6 July 1925 Hawkebury, Adelard married Flore Daoust on 25 June 1918 Hawkesbury, Albert married Alice Dubois on 24 April 1918 Hawkesbury, Bertha married Emile Trottier 1916 in Montreal, and Conrad married Anna Paquette on 8 June 1935 Hawkesbury. I am stumped to find the parents of Gilbert and Alice (Odile). I would appreciate any help on that matter. Ray

I think they came to ME, separately, around 1885 or so from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, but not sure on the dates. I was told Adelle's father was Pierre Desjardins, but I was only told that her mother's name was Justine and I'm not sure if that's what it was. Adelle died around 1904, leaving Joseph with 4 small children to take raise. He remarried in 1905 to Ezilda Charron (anyone know anything about this last name either?). I don't know if she had any children, but I don't think so. I would like to find as much information as I can on the Desjardins and Adelle's family....siblings, her parent's and their siblings, ect. I would also like to find any of their descendant's to talk to get to know that side of my family?? Any h! elp would be very appreciated!! Please help me if you can!! If you know anyone that might be able to help me please give them my e-mail address so they can get a hold of me. I would love to hear from anyone with any possible information even if it's just information on the name and where they came from!! Thank you. He was one of about 9 children (Maud,Hap, Carol, ??) and he married Helen Deffenbaugh (who died about 1975). They had 3 sons and were raised by a step-father by the name of Hanson. Sam was a "brick mason" in Oregon and his family migrated from Canada (French-Canadian). Many of the brothers and sisters lived in Sacramento, CA.in the 1960's.
