Hi: All my line seems to KEEP either Dejadon or Desjadon. Folks tell me the name is interchangeable, but I have not YET found that in my particular ancestors. Do any of you have that name? Started with Charles Dejadon in Point Levy, Quebec from France! Pat Gene-Allergy: It's a contagious disease, but I love it!

Happy Holidays Listers! I am a first time poster here on this list. I have been searching for an elusive great grandmother's parents for ten years now and thought perhaps this would be a last ditch effort before pulling that last plug of hair out of my head...LOL I was hoping some DesJardin member might have her in their family tree, or perhaps would do a lookup in that "extra" stuff we all put aside just in case it connects to our line. Her name is Basilisse DesJardins, born Sept 8, 1842 in Quebec. ..exactly I don't know. All documents ever show is just Que. She married Joseph MIRON in Trenton, Ontario (his #2 marriage) Aug 10 1857 in St. Peter in Chains Church. witnesses were Oliver Coutour and Henriette Miron. Joseph was born in Montreal, and his parents Joseph Francois Miron and Henrietta Raymond were married in Notre Dame Church, Montreal so I am thinking she might be from that area also. Family story was that her family disowned her for marrying J. Miron (23) because he was a widower with a 2 yr old child. She was only 15 when she married. They immigrated to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and evidently never had much contact again. Her name varies so much in documents, Basilisse, Basilise, Bausalice, Basilice, Bosolice I have tried every spelling when I search. There is a Basilisse DesJardins married to A Joseph Michaud and that is not my Basilisse. Two research companies have already sent that information to me. Anyway, I would appreciate any help that can be thrown my way.. Thanks so much Kathleen Perry bonka@lcc.net
