Maud Monroe was married to Fred Louis Desjardins on February 9, 1910. It is believed the fire occured in 1923. Fred Louis and Maud had three children Walter, Edna, and Orel. Fred remarried Regina Robinson of Eastport, ME on October 19, 1935.

She married James Henry Skinner in 1914 in Kingaroy, QLD, AUS - My great grandfather was August Albert Ferdinand Desjardins who was born in 1871 in Potsdam, Germany. He emigrated to Queensland, Australia with his father. He married 1. Anna Emilie Auguste Spann in 1893 in Rosevale, QLD, AUS, 2. Anna Schumann in 1922, QLD, AUS - My 2nd Great Grandfather was Johan Wilhelm Desjardins who was born in 1835 in Potsdam, Germany. He emigrated to QLD, AUS with his family. He married 1. Christine Wilhelmina Seefeld in 1859 in Potsdam, Germany, 2. Henriette Caroline Wilhelmine Blume in 1872 in Bergholz, Germany, 3. Marie Christine Charlotte Karr in 1873 in Potsdam, Germany. - My 3rd Great Grandfather was Abraham Desjardins who was born in 1790 in Wallmow, Germany. He married Jeanne Froehling in 1820 in Grimme, Germany. I do have further information back to my 6th Great Grandfather in my database. Born approximately 1930s or early 1940s. He changed his first name to Fred. He has a brother named Eroll (sp?) who was a jeweller in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In the 1950s, Francois and his family lived in Winnipeg. He had three sons and a daughter - James (Abt.49 years old), Brent (Abt 42), Michelle (Abt 38) and Keith (Abt 36). Now he is married to Millie and they have two sons, James (Abt 32) and Mark (Abt 30). They lived in Lethbridge but moved to Vancouver about 15 years ago. In 1881 my DESJARDINS ancestors (Hugeunots) left Bergholz (near Prenzlau) in Prussia to emigrate to Australia, where they settled in S.E.Queensland. While I have substantial information about the Australian and some German history, I am still unable to locate where our French ancestors resided prior to going to Germany. I am aware that there is a significant group of DESJARDINS in Canada and was wondering if any of these families could be related the the Australian families. Question 1. Did the Canadian families emigrate from France or Germany. Question 2.
