Hello My ancestor, Moses Bellamy Riddell, came to NSW about 1860 or earlier. He may have come from Derbyshire. His wife was named Mary Ann Devinian or Wallace. His son was Augustus Reginald Riddell, who was born in about 1860. I wonder if listers know of Riddell as a Derbyshire name, and if there are records of Riddells emigrating from there to NSW. I'm not sure how Moses got here, whether as free immigrant, convict or crew. He may have been an engineer. This is all I know about him, and much of this is conflicting evidence from certificates. I have posted this message to the Devon list as well, because both places appear in the records. Thank you Richard
