I was, once again, thinking that none of the names I am researching ever come up on the lists! Even on the Matlock specific lists, and practically all my family seemed to have lived in Matlock at some time or other! But this time I got lucky! : On 28 November 2012 22:01, mike spencer <mikedecc9@sky.com> wrote: > > Hi list, > mostly stray entries from Matlock this time. > > MATLOCK BURIALS 1862-1865 > > > 26 Feb 1865 Martha ADDY Matlock Bank 58 > This is probably JOHN ADDY's wife MARTHA HIGGS. She was born in 1807 (only got the year) and was the daughter of John HIGGS and Elizabeth GREATOREX. I don't have a marriage date yet! I think they had six children: Elizabeth 1825; Ann b: 27 May 1833 buried 26 mar 1834 (age 1) John Higgs c 29 Apr 1838 died 26 Jul 1840 (age 2) Joseph c 16 Mar 1842 died 21 Dec 1844 (age 2) Eleanor Martha c 7 Apr 1845 died Sep 1849 (age 5) & John Higgs (2nd) b 2 Mar 1848. > Only two of the six lived beyond childhood, so sad.
