    3. Thank you for the invitation Charani. My missing G.G.Grand uncle Isaac BUXTON, Christened 20th May 1816 in Clowne, first child of Thomas BUXTON and Catharine COTERILL who were married 6th November 1815 in Clowne. I have been unable to find anything about Isaac after his christening.. His younger brother Abraham Hayes BUXTON was christened in All Saints Church, Sculcoates, Yorkshire on the 26th of April 1818. Catharine died in November 1818 and was buried at St. Swithen's in East Retford on the 8th of November 1818 aged 21. Widower Thomas remarried on the 12th of July 1819 and he and his second wife, Martha BIRLEY, settled in East Retford and raised their family there, but, it seems, without his two sons from the previous marriage. My GGGrandfather Abraham Hayes re-surfaced in 1837 in Chesterfield living with his grandparents Samuel BUXTON and Amy HAYES.They lived there for the rest of their lives. The only options seem to be that Isaac died, or he was "adopted" by some other member of his parents families which resulted in an unrecorded name change. Unfortunately I have not been able to trace Catherine's origins either. All and/or any help to find Isaac would be a great start to 2013. A happy and rewarding new year to all.
