I'm intrigued by a little girl Phyllis Mary BIRCH, living with her uncle, Ben Henry POUNTAIN (who is also my GU) at 5 Traffic Terrace, Hasland, in 1911. She may, after all, be related to me. She was born at As*** on Mersey, Cheshire, in 1904, The enumerator of this schedule needs to be kept in to do it again, as there are  many silly errors on the page. I can't find a place which equates with 'As*** on Mersey' and although I've found a  little Phyllis Mary BIRCH, b OND 1906, Bucklow, CHS, I feel that it can hardly be described as 'on Mersey.' Please could someone, perhaps with local knowledge, tell me what this birthplace might be? Kind regards Joy
