Hi there My mother was born in 1911 and I remember her telling me that she saw a Zeppelin passing over their house in Pinxton, Derbyshire, when she was a child. I wonder if the one she saw was the one which bombed Derby, as she would have been five years old at that time. Mum died in 2003, aged almost 92 years, so she is not around to ask. Aileen This may have been the January 1916 Midlands Zeppelin Raid. A large number of the airships took off and raided this area including Hallam Fields and the Stanton Iron Works.
