Can't find her christening in Hope St Peter or Taxal St James. Don't have access to Fairfield St Peter transcription. ________________________________ From: Patricia Andrew <pdandrew32@gmail.com> To: DERBYSGEN@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, 27 December 2012, 4:01 Subject: [DBY] Looking for Hannah Cocker in Hope 1760s My 4x great-grandmother, Hannah Cocker, married Peter Andrew in Eyam Parish Church 29 Dec 1783. The marriage register recorded her as being "of Hope." The witnesses were Robert How and William Cocker, who might have been her father or brother, or even an uncle. Hannah appears in the 1841 census as age 75. Given the rounding up or down that was used for that census, I would surmise she might have been born around 1763 - 1769. If anyone has access to the Hope parish records, I wonder if you could please look for her there. I realize she was not necessarily born or christened in Hope, but could have been. Thanks for any help you can give me! cheers, Pat ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DERBYSGEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
