I've been looking for my ancient relatives in the "Descriptive Catalogue of Derbyshire Charters" by Isaac Herbert Jeayes, published in 1906. A copy is available to download from the Internet Archive. One entry refers to a 1460 document at Brimington, involving William HIGDON of Edinsower and Joan, his wife. I'm guessing that this might be Edensor, but can anyone confirm, please?

I would certainly say so, and Jeayes obviously thought it was too as it appears under Edensor in the "Index of Places" and is phonetically similar to other charters indexed there. -----Original Message----- From: Nick Higton [mailto:nick@higton.co.uk] Sent: 14 June 2018 18:48 To: Derbyshire list Subject: [DBY]Where was Edinsower?
