Annette, if you click on this link it will take you to the Genuki page on Bolsover:- http://www.cree.name/genuki/Bolsover/#ChurchRecords Unfortunately, for you you'll see that there is one book missing of the parish records, apparently burnt in a fire, it covers baptisms from 1717-1812, almost 100 years! However, you might be lucky with the BTs which are held at the Lichfield Joint Record Office. There is a Stephen Coupe baptised at Old Brampton in 1834, parents Robert & Hannah, Robert might be your Stephen's brother or cousin. Robert & Hannah had six children baptised at OB. Hi Dawn, Thank you for the link - have checked that and there is not mention of Stephen COUPE chr 1799. I guess I will have to check the BTs - the LDS have films available for PRs & Bts for Bolsover but not for that period of time, as you say the PRs were destroyed in a fire. We hope to be in England this year so if I have time I will make a trip to Lichfield Join Record Office, will have to make a list of other records I need to check. Robert COUPE father of Stephen baptised in Old Brampton in 1834 is the brother of Stephen (1799).
