May FLAVELL said to have been ‘adopted’ and taken to Canada whilst her brother my grandfather Benjamin Job FLAVELL put into a workhouse / orphanage. My grandfather re joined his father Job by 1891 in Clay Cross in time to go down the pit and he himself to marry Annie LOWE in Calow.. Have hit my brick wall with gt. aunt May FLAVELL.
