I would welcome any further information on the BESTWICK family which marries into both my GILLOTT and CUTTS families in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. They were part of a group of stocking makers involved with the improvement of machines during the volatile period of Luddite riots, etc. They were Non-Conformists, Primitive Methodists and possibly Unitarians. I have found Bestwicks living very close to my own gt. grandparents in the Birkin Avenue area of Hyson Green so know that they kept in touch over the generations. I would like to fill in gaps if anyone else is researching these families. Mavis.
