    1. [DBY] THARM --- BULL
    2. The Timesearcher
    3. THARM --- BULL I am at a complete stop in my research for the origins of a Charlotte BULL. Charlotte is well documented from her marriage in 1847 to her Death in 1889, using GRO and Census Returns. On her Marriage Certificate she is recorded as follows:- "24 May 1847 at Lichfield Registry Office; Thomas THARM of Full Age; Bachelor; Labourer of Stowe Street, Lichfield; son of James THARM, Labourer was Married to Charlotte BULL of Full Age; Spinster of Stowe Street, Lichfield; daughter of William Bull, Labourer. Both signed with their Mark." I note also that on the 1851 Census 'Where Born' is recorded as Derbysh. Ashbourne and age given as 24 On the 1861 Census 'Where Born' is Luton, Derbyshire (which I take to be Luton/Linton in C.Gresley) age given as 34 In both the 1871 and 1881 census, 'Where Born' is 'back' in Ashbourne and aged 40 years and 50 years respectively Charlotte's Death is recorded as aged 60 years in Q4 1889 in Burton-on-Trent ref: 6b 228 I have extensive BULL BMD's from the region from 1538 to the present day and cannot match Charlotte with any William BULL as the father; in fact there are No Charlotte BULL entries that are even a possibility. NOTE: the Charlotte BULL who appears on the 1841 Census as a Female Servant in Sutton-on-the-Hill marries a Joseph CHATTERTON just before the recorded Marriage of 'my' Charlotte, no more being heard of Charlotte and Joseph CHATTERTON though, after their Marriage. Regards, Martin
