Hi List Has anybody come across a marriage for Matthias SHEVYN (or variant spelling, which could include CHEVIN)? He was chr in Ticknall in Feb 1708/9 and married Ann (of unknown surname). Their oldest known child, Samuel, was chr in Burton on Trent in Feb 1737/8. No sign of Matthias & Ann's marriage in St Modwen's, Burton on Trent, or in Ticknall. Only two other known children to this marriage: Kezia chr 1742, and William chr 1748 - both in Ticknall, so I assume that the mysterious Ann may have died after this last birth. Ann's burial is also a mystery. I have no information about her at all, but, given that her oldest child was christened in Burton she may have come from there. She is my 5x gt-grandmother so I would dearly love to be able to put a name and some facts to her. Any help with her marriage and burial would be gratefully received.
