Alison Had a quick poke around my records I have Mary (Higgot) Wildgoose bapt to Elizabeth Wildgoose (spurious) 14 Oct 1798. Peter, Many thanks - from later census data, I reckon "my" Elizabeth was the one born in 1771. Would love to pin down a Higget (whatever spelling) as the name crops up elsewhere in my research too. Complicated story, involving NUTTALL of Highoredish - I think their family links to yours via SAUNDERS at some point. I'm sure we corresponded about these some years ago! Grateful for your help - at least I know there's nothing in Crich bastardy records.
