I've grouped these letters together because I'm not sure there'll be too many on any of them. Now you'll prove me wrong <G> I have some that are enticingly close: Notts, Staffs, Leics, so not eligible for this list. Those that are are post WWI. Over to you all. Who are your brickwalls with surnames beginning M, N or O? -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Ashcott, Shapwick, Greinton and Clutton, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk
OSBISTON/OSBASTON/OSBESTON always. I have a clear line to 1712 then my Millicent disappears-she had two illegitimate boys (Bradley 1712/14) but no sign of her birth or father. I know where and when she dies (Hulland) and what happened to her boys but I can't get to the generation she came from. I'm also aware of Osbistons around central Derbyshire including some wills from Hognaston in the 1600s and a big will dispute at Sutton on the Haill in 1670, but no clear link to them- so the line is broken at Millicent.
