Greenhill Lane is in Riddings which is about 3 miles from Alfreton. There are (today) parish churches at Riddings, Somercotes - both nearer than Alfreton also Swanwick. There is also Ironville nearby and Selston in Notts within a few miles. Any of these could have baptisms if they were there early enough.
