Brownlow Villiers LAYARD (not clear sic), daughter of John PORT, Esq. of this place. At Eckington, on Friday, Mr John ROTHERHAM, farmer, of Mosbro' to Miss COOPER, daughter of Mr COOPER, of the same place. On Friday se'nnight, Mr Paul JACKSON, of Newark, to Miss Sarah CRESWICK, daughter of Mr James CRESWICK, paper manufacturer, of Sheffield. DIED At Buxton, on Tuesday se'nnight, of a typhus fever, in the 43rd year of his age, Mr Thomas TAYLOR, late a merchant of Liverpool. Yesterday, of an apoplexy, Mrs WHEELDON, aged 36, wife of Mr George WHEELDON, merchant, of this town; much regretted. Last week, much respected, Mr. Tho. BARKER, of Cowdale, in this county; also a few days afterwards, Mrs BARKER, his widow. On Friday last, at Osmaston, near this place, aged 31, Mrs WALTERS, wife of Mr John WALTERS, of that place, farmer. On the 6th inst. as George DAVIS, a workman employed at the local coal pits at Codnor park, in this county, was receiving a carriage loaden with cols at the mouth of one of the pits, the rope accidently broke, by which means the unfortunate man was precipitated to the bottom and killed on the spot.
