Hi Charani If you look on the following site www.southderbyshirebdm.co.uk there are transcriptions of the Parish Registers of St John's Newhall, where I have found 12 children of Daniel & Lucy baptised. In addition to your names, there are Agnes 1879 and Luther Howard 1883. In the burials are those for Agnes 8 months and Luther Howard 5 years. Also a Lucy - aged 42 in 1885. There are also details of marriages of the three daughters - Beatrice, Bertha, & Eglintine. Daniel was an ironmonger. Also Levi's wedding (now living in Ilkeston) to Lizzie Attwood. This rang a bell and looking on my tree, Levi is there as Elizabeth Attwood was the daughter of Elizabeth Walton, sister of my ancestor William Walton. There is a baptism for a Daniel Lunn in 1845 in Newhall, is this a possiblility? Parents William & Sarah. Newhall is very close to the Staffordshire border. I have found this site very useful as it covers Church Gresley, Linton, Swadlincote as well as Woodville & Overseal which are/were Leicestershire. Hope this helps. Not the parents though because the father, Daniel, was from Staffordshire and the mother, Lucy (nee PARKER), from Leicestershire. The children, however, were all born in Newhall, Derbyshire before at least one of them wandered off to Yorkshire. The children were George (b 1865), Minnie (b1867), William (b1868), Henry (b1870), Adeline (b1872), the gloriously named Eglantine Maud (b1874), Bertha Ann (1876), Levi (b1877), Beatrice Elizabeth (b1880) and the wonderfully named Marlborough (1882-1917) who went to Yorkshire. I don't know any more about these children simply because I haven't got to them yet. The brickwall being a lack of time. Anyone with a real brickwall that could do with some help demolishing? -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Ashcott, Shapwick, Greinton and Clutton, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DERBYSGEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
