    3. Derby Mercury Thursday, October 6th, 1803 Derby, Wednesday 5th October DIED A few days ago, far advanced in years, Mrs WHEELDON, of Buxton, formerly of the Whiter Hart Inn, at that place. Last week, at Norton, Mrs FORD, relict of the late Hugh FORD, Esq. of Leek. On the 30th ult. as William TWELLS, a collier employed at the local coal pit at Ilkestone, in this county, was descending into one of the pits, the carriage suddenly gave way and precipitated the unfortunate man to the bottom, (about 30 yards.) He was most terribly bruised, and survived only two days, leaving a wife and seven children. A few days since a fire broke out in a barn belonging to Mr William BOOTH, at Pentridge, in this county, which happily was extinguished before much of the property was consumed.- We are sorry to state the Mr Robert MARSDEN, a considerable farmer of that place, as he was assisting to remove some thatch from the flames, suddenly fell down and instantly expired.
