    3. A happy new year listers. For some time now I have been keeping a close watch on Mike Spencer's very valuable lists of burials, etc., looking for some references to my HIBBERT/HIBBERD familes, sadly without success. The HIBBERT/HIBBERD family were generally residing or centred on Edensor from at least 1755 until later than 1881. Some were employed on Chatsworth estate. From the somewhat little information I have been able to obtain of main events (baptisms, marriages, deaths), they did appear in the following villages as following: 1730 Duffield 1782 Tideswell 1788 Tideswell 1793 to 1798 Pilsley 1806 and 1830 Baslow 1844 Bakewell 1852 and 1866 Pilsley My branch of the HIBBERT/HIBBERDs came to Australia in the 1860's. The available records do not contain many references to the family name at all. It appears they may have dropped down from space about 1730 and remained until the 1860's (primarily at Edensor) before blasting off again, leaving behind my ancestor who came to Australia. Could any of the more experienced Derbyshire researchers suggest any sources, etc., that may provide more information on the family. It appears they arrived in Derbyshire from places unknown in about 1730, remained for about 130 years, then disappeared again. Any assistance would be gratefully received.
