    3. Listers perhaps remember that I've asked a few times about WILCOCKSONs in Derbyshire. I've now published a post to my blogsite which sums up the reasons for chasing WILCOCKSONs and progress made so far. www.morgansite.wordpress.com. It turns out that there weren't all that many Derbyshire descendants from the families that lived in Biggin near Wirksworth, and the most plentiful WILCOCKSON line was in West Riding of Yorkshire, then Lancashire, where several more generations were Quakers. It would be great to hear from anyone else chasing WILCOCKSONs. Regards, Celia Renshaw in Chesterfield UK

    3. Hello Celia, Is it possible that Agnes MADDOCK married George WILCOCKSON 1622 as his second wife? A Catherine died in 1622 may have been his first wife, see www.wirksworth.org.uk/PR103.htm#2265 The Wirksworth Parish Register from which these records are transcribed begins about 1606, when George was 21 and possibly already married. Regards, John Palmer, Dorset, England
