    3. Hi Jeanette I think Locko Grange probably refers to Locko Grange Farm which is owned by the Locko estate referred to in the previous reply. My late uncle and his brothers and sister used to farm at Home Farm in Stanley which is the next farm to Locko Grange and also owned by the Locko estate. From travelling to see my uncle and aunt as a child I remember a track off the road out of Stanley which looks like it led to Locko Grange Farm. You may also be able to see it from a public footpath – it would be worth you investigating footpaths from Locko Park. Are your Brentnalls related to the Brentnalls in Stanley? I have a One Place Study site (URL below) for Stanley and I have a number of Brentnalls in my database, though not your ancestor John. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~alanbloor/SOPS.htm (Look at section 1 of the website for a map which includes Locko Grange Farm) Have a good trip in May. The question is how do I find it and is it possible to visit or even stay there? Any help, advice or information would be appreciated.
