    1. [DBY] Crich Parish Land Tax 1805
    2. Peter Patilla
    3. Morning all Thanks to Heather Eaton I have now transcribed the 1805 Land Tax to the Crich Parish website. Lots of “Crich Names” as expected but interestingly (to me) some of the names which appeared on old documents regularly seem to have gone– but where did Debank(e) and Billsborough go I wonder. Also added onsite a demand for licence money from HM Taxes sent to William Acraman (my favourite Vicar of Crich). Dated 1879 you had to licence Male Servants (£15 each), Carriages with 4 wheels (£2 2s) Carriages with 2 wheels (£15) Dogs (7s 6d) and you had to pay if you had Armorial Bearings (extra if they were displayed on your carriage) . It seems Females servants were unlicensed! Updated many records on the WW1 Roll of Honour. In 1914 I had 104 photos of the men with many unknown regimental details, Currently I have over 200 photos (largely thanks to Simon Johnson's research), many more regimental details plus about 20 new names added. These records are updated very regularly. Having two names who received Mentioned in Dispatches awards has got me interested in looking more into this award given during WW1 as I believe they were gained in the UK not serving abroad. One was a Red Cross nurse. Peter
