I use FTM 14 too, and so far its been fine. I have separate trees though for different sides of the family as well as the 'main' tree. Its also backed up onto my laptop, plus on USBs/CDs - just in case!! Thanks everyone for all your comments, they have been most helpful to me. The earlier versions can't really cope with anything over about 25,000 if you have a lot of "notes" etc. Version 16 seems to be OK but although I run both, I don't particularly like that version.
