Hi Maree Thanks for your support and useful suggestion. The Catherine you refer to was baptised 1802 in Snelston and is the daughter of George Gadsby and Catherine. They baptised 11 children between the years 1778 and 1802. Snelston is only a few miles from Cubley so it is worth looking there. We have the name Catherine in this family but the d.o.b. does not fit. I previously assumed Catharine Gadsby c1776 Cubley was widowed (because of her age when she married Thomas Dickin). Having said that I cannot find a marriage record to support this and my DNA test does not support it either. My brick wall still stands even with the support of modern science! Thanks Stephen Burns
