    3. Thank you everybody for your input and help. Unfortunately I don't have access to the Kirk Ireton parish records so can't check if there is a still born burial around that date and also I don't have access to FMP at the moment although I have done a search and no records are showing. I do have the baptisms for all the other siblings so it looks as if there is no baptism either. I'm almost sure that a first name would have been added in if one was ever given. I fear it will remain a mystery!! However I can't find either a birth or death registration and there is no mention in the 1851 census, just his brother John Heapy WHEELDON. Is there any reason that a birth/death isn't registered - the GRO index has all subsequent siblings who were listed on the bible page. Thanks Joan

    3. Hi Joan I found some Kirk Ireton burials done by Mike Spencer after looking on GENUKI and checked for the burial of a baby Wheeldon from the birth in 1845 until the 1851 census. I found the following entry and wonder if it is your 'baby' Wheeldon. 26 Aug 1849 William WHEELDON Ireton Wood inf There is no other information given but it might be a strong possibility. 3. Hi Christine, That's a brother. Based on the bible he was born on the 24th August and was then buried on the 26th. However both the birth and death are registered and in the GRO index.
