I have just received this: Dear Friends of the London FamilySearch Centre, The microfilms at the London FamilySearch Centre will be moving to the Society of Genealogists.  The last day to view microfilms at The National Archives location of the London FamilySearch Centre will be 31 May 2017.  Sometime in June the films will be available for viewing at the SOG. The London FamilySearch Centre is not closing.  The computers and websites will continue to be available at the National Archives location. As a small consolation for the loss of access to the films at the London FamilySearch Centre, there will be no charge for scanning images starting Wednesday, 24 May through Wednesday, 31 May 2017.  If scanned to a flash drive there will be no charge.  If a print is made, the usual 30p cost per print will still apply.  Scanning will be limited to 10 scans or 30 minutes, whichever comes first, if others are waiting.  Free scans will not be available for films that can be viewed online at the centre.
