I agree the letter doesn't look quite like other Gs but neither does it look much like any other letter! The vicar is inconsistent in how he records things but does not seem to use a possessive apostrophe, i.e. it is always wife of, son of, etc so I don't think is says 'xxx Whoodhouses wife' which would imply it is a woman's name rather than a man's and the wife bit just gives her status as opposed to widow, which someone else has against their name. Sorry can't help more. I am part way through a Webinar series by the National archives on reading old documents and everybody so far has done all the right things to sort it out but this vicar seems determined to make it hard for you. I would disagree, and think that his handwriting is fairly consistent, at least compared with many parish registers that I've seen from this time period. In my view the first character of the word is a capital "O." Compare it with the similar character written on the next page, the entry for 26th May, which I believe reads "The wife of John Owtrem was buried ..." So, I think the first word is indeed "Ould," so "Ould Woodhouse['s] wife buried."
