Hi Rosemary The first letter baffles me but I think it is followed by uld The first letter is similar to G but lacking an upper squiggle which makes me certain that it is not G >From the previous page there is a strong similarity to O as in Oates Obviously the transcriber was also baffled because in the index below the forename is also missing. Probably not very likely (and definitely not very helpful) but could it be "Old Woodhouse's wife" Bob Butler Nottingham -----Original Message----- From: DERBYSGEN [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rosemary Probert via DERBYSGEN Sent: 06 May 2017 18:40 To: Derbyshire Mailing List <[email protected]> Cc: Rosemary Probert <[email protected]> Subject: [DBY] Dronfield Parish Registers - help needed again I'm asking for help again reading Dronfield Parish Register: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-DYDV-K3?mode=g&i=107&cc=1911752 18 Apr 1622 ....
