Software MacKiev introduces FamilySync™ Last year, Ancestry announced that Software MacKiev had acquired Family Tree Maker and that together we would ensure a smooth transition for users. From the beginning, our common goal was to maintain the capability to sync Family Tree Maker trees with online Ancestry Member Trees and we’re pleased to announce that we have done just that. Over the past year, we’ve worked together to co-develop a new syncing technology which Software MacKiev engineers have incorporated into the upcoming Family Tree Maker 2017. The new technology, which Software MacKiev calls FamilySync, will replace Ancestry’s TreeSync® when the new edition is released. Thanks for the news Nivard, I expect that Mackiev will be sending emails out in due course. Having checked out the details on their site I was shocked to learn that the US Dollar now has parity with the UK Pound - numbers are the same regardless of which currency you use!!! I wonder what will happen if I select to buy in dollars and let my CC company sort out the exchange rate. Hi Bob When I have used a CC in foreign currency there has been a small charge for currency conversion on that day but it wasn't much as I recall Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 21-Mar-17 4:26 PM, Bob Butler wrote: > Thanks for the news Nivard, > > I expect that Mackiev will be sending emails out in due course. > Having checked out the details on their site I was shocked to learn that the US Dollar now has parity with the UK Pound - numbers are the same regardless of which currency you use!!! > > I wonder what will happen if I select to buy in dollars and let my CC company sort out the exchange rate. > > Bob Butler > Nottingham
