The instructions on the web site are plain enough if they are read. You carry out a search. If the results of your search are negative in that place names do not appear, then it would seem that that particular parish or even county are not part of the record held. The information on the web site clearly states that the Returns are only held for about one third of counties. Perhpas I have been lucky in my searches but I have been able to access the records for a large part of Buckinghamshire, Lancashire and Cumberland. I am also informed by the site that the information I am looking for in Staffs is part of the process but is not yet held online. Either records being searched for are not part of the Returns or are not yet online. In time this will be a valuable resource.
