Thank you so much to everyone who has offered help and suggestions. It looks as though my Moses Garlick was born in the schoolhouse in Bugsworth after all as was his sister Zipporah. By the time Moses was born there must have been 8 people living in the schoolhouse and from the look of it now, it must have been quite a squash. Given that the family were strict Methodist, nipping out to the pub for a bit of "peace and quiet" was not an option! Must press on with the next chapter in the family saga.
