    3. Hi Alan Could it be your browser? Recently I could not access Ancestry "Sharing" tab. I had previously always been able to get it to share my trees, and invite people to them. I telephoned Ancestry to be told that they had upgraded and Firefox would not work as well, that they preferred us to use Google chrome. I am a bit contrary and don't like to be told what browser I will use, so I use Firefox for ordinary Ancestry searching unless I need the sharing tab- then I use Chrome. regards Hilary

I have now abandoned my efforts at research due to age, poor eyesight and restricted movement but remain a “snapper-up of unconsidered trifles” In that vein I have been told that “Tudor” House in Brassington was built by Thomas Westerne in 1615. There is no doubt about the date but I have no proof of the builder. The point of interest is that Thomas Westerne was my 10x great-grandfather.That research was done by my late brother who was most meticulous so I have no reason to doubt it.
