    3. Hi Sue Many thanks for that information. It seems to solve the issue of when and where John Higton and Ann Handby married, but, as always in family history, it raises another set of questions regarding Ann Mather. Option 1. Was she the first wife of the John Higton who subsequently married Ann Handby? There isn't a possible burial for her at Wirksworth (1822 - 1825), but she may be elsewhere, maybe Ashover? Option 2. Are the two marriages to different John Higton's? I only have one possibility for this, from the Wirksworth PRs. That is the John Higton born 15 Dec 1779 at Wirksworth, and who Ince describes as a Lace Manufacturer (or Maker) in Nottingham. If it is him, I'm surprised Ince doesn't name a wife. I also can't find him in the 1841 or 1851 census. Onwards! 3. I have just gone through the process by clicking on the US link. At a further stage it showed the price in £'s but there was an option to change from UK to US and the price changed back to dollars. I completed the process using (for convenience) PayPal and was advised that the exchange rate would be £1.00 GBP = $1.20495789 USD The order completed showing $24.95 + $5 tax = $29.95 = £24.86 at PayPal's exchange rate. I will see what actually appears on my CC but it is sure to be less than the £29.95 price on the Mackiev Europe page. 3. Thanks John That makes the cost £23.96 assuming that the CC company uses the same rate so it would be cheaper as long as the CC does not apply too high a surcharge. However would Mackiev let it go through or would they spot that I am UK based and force me to pay in £'s. Their site says that the product is the same but you select the country that corresponds to your Ancestry subscription on start up.
