    3. I did check the Taddington census and neither family showed up. Wonder if she was in service in Taddington? For the rest of the info you'll have to order the marriage certificate. I did find this birth record - could be Martha b 1838 which would make her 18 when she got married. SLACK, MARTHA MELLOR MELLOR Order GRO Reference: 1838 M Quarter in MACCLESFIELD UNION Volume 19 Page 125 Hope this helps! We will consider how to effectively find and analyse sources and explore the potential of DNA testing as applied to genealogy. We’ll help you add historical context to your family history and discuss how to record and communicate research findings in a clear fashion. The course is primarily designed for people at beginner to intermediate level. Although it starts Monday 16th Jan 2017 you can start and do it at your own pace They are free and you get a lot from them but of course have to apply some effort to get the most You can if you wish purchase a certificate at the end of the course but there is no necessity to do so There are of course many other courses all online all free, so you may want to try something else -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
