1726         Black Hannah, 1 Mo. 13, 1726-7     Walter Walter, 7 Mo. 4, 1726     Mary Jones, wife of Edward Jones, Chirurgeon, died at Merion, 7 Mo. 1726.  Arrived on "Ship Lyon".  She was an approved minister among the Friends, and a daughter of Dr. Thomas Wynne, of Caerwys, Flintshire, Wales.     Dr.  Thomas Wynne was the son of Peter Wynne (who was the 5th son of Sir John Wynne of Gwyder, and Sydney, daughter of Sir William Gerard, Chancellor of Ireland.)  Thomas Wynne married Martha Bultall, in 1656.  She was the mother of all his children.  Martha died 1670, and Thomas married (2) Elizabeth Rowden, widow, and (3) Elizabeth Mede, widow.  His last wife accompanied him to Pennsylvania on the "Ship Welcome", 1682.     The children of Mary, wife of Dr. Edward Jones, were: I. Rees Thomas, son of Rees and Martha Aubrey Thomas).     Edward Jones, son of Edward and Mary, was born 8 Mo. 17, 1683.     Thomas Jones, son of Edward and Mary, was born 4 Mo. 30, 1686.     Births recorded at Merion Meeting.     Dr. Thomas Wynne was an approved minister among the Friends an an early medical practitioner.  He was first Speaker of the first House of Representatives of Penna.  and later, a Justice of the Peace in Sussex Co. Del.  With John ap John, he purchased 10,000 acres of land, part of which was surveyed in Blockley and part in Chester Co. Pa.  His son-in-law, Edward Jones named his plantation in Merion, "Wynnewood", after Dr. Wynne, and his son, Jonathan his plantation in Blockley, "Wynnstay".  Dr. Wynne had a brother John Wynne, who went to Virginia.     The children of Thomas and Mary Wynne were, Jonathan, who m. David Evans.     Witnesses to the marriage of Rees Thomas and Martha Aubrey, 4, 18, 1692;  Willaim and David Thomas;  John Evans; Philip and David Price.     The children of Rees Thomas and Martha Aubrey, his wife were:  William, Rees, Aubrey, Herbert, Richard, Elizabeth, Thomas, Nicholas.     Of these, Wm. m. Elizabeth, dau. of David Harry;  Rees, m. Eliz. Jones; Aubrey m. Gulielma Maria Penn;  Herbert m. Mary Havard;  Richard, unm.;  Elizabeth m. Samuel Harry.         Martha Thomas, born after 1662, died in Merion, 7th of 12 Mo. 1726.  She was the wife of Rees Thomas of Merion, born in Wales, and the 9th child of William Awbrey of Wales.  Her brother William married Leatitia, daughter of William Penn, the Founder of Pennsylvania.     Martha Thomas was an approved minister among the Friends.  Her father, William Aubrey of Landbrode in Brecknockshire, was living in 1694.  Martha was the daughter of Sir William Aubrey;  the grand-daughter of Sir Edward Aubrey and Jean Haverd, his wife; the great grand-daughter of Sir William Aubrey (b. 1532)  and Williford Williams, his wife.     The children of Rees Thomas and Martha Aubrey, his wife were:  Rees, 1693;  Aubrey, "born ye 30th day, 11th Mo. ye 4th day of ye week, 1694".     The land of Rees Thomas adjoined the lands of Edward Prichard, John Eckley, John Humphreys, Philip Price, Morris Llewellyn and Stephen Eckley in Merion.  Rees Thomas speaks of his "Uncle John Bevan".     John Bevan's wife was Barbara Aubrey, sister of Sir William.     Rees Thomas had a brother Wm.
