    3. 1711     Nathan Thomas, of Merion.  Will proved August 4, 1711.  Mentions his mother Margaret Thomas.  Brother Owen Thomas.  Sister Katharine Pearson.  Sister Elizabeth.  Cousins, Thomas and Jane Pearson.  Cousin, John Thomas and his grandmother Thomas.  Cousin Nathan Thomas.  Witnesses,  Thomas Howell, David Evan.     Jane Jones, wife of Richard, died 2d Mo. 27, 1711, at Merion.  She was born Evans.  Her husband was the son of Rees John William, and was called Richard Jones, Richard Rees and Richard Rees Jones.  He married for his second wife Rebecca Garrett, and settled in Goshen township, Chester County, where he died 1771, aged 92.     Rees Jones and his wife Hannah and their sones Rich. & Evan and one Doughter named Lowry, from Merionethshire, arrived on the "Vine", 7, 17, 1684, the same ship with Robert and Jane Owen.     Richard Jones of Merion, yeoman, and Jane Evans of Gwynnedd on the Welch Tract, at Gwynnedd Meeting Place, 4, 6, 1705.  Wit: Evan, John Gainor and Sarah Jones; Thomas, Anne Lowry, Robert, Hugh, Evan and Lowry Evan.     The children of Richard Jones and Jane Evans, his first wife, were: Rees (b. 2 Mo. 4, 1706; m. 1 Mo. 23, 1731-2, Amy Cook, daughter of Henry and Mary Cock, of Long Island.);  Ann (b. 11 Mo. 11, 1707;  m. ______ Goodwin);  Hannah (b. 11 Mo. 8, 1709-10).        Richard Jones married (1718) Rebecca Vernon,  widow of Thomas Garrett.  Children:  Rebecca (b. 7 Mo. 11, 1719;  m. Wm. Rettew); Deborah (b. 7 Mo. 13, 1721; m. John Cheyney);  Nehemiah (b. 7 Mo. 21, 1723; m. _______ and had Robert and Rebecca.)        Rees John and his wife Amy Cook, had a son Benjamin Jones, who married Rebecca Eavenson and settled in Westtown.  They had several children.         Richard Walter, or Walters, of Merion, died 1711.  His will was proved in Philadelphia, Oct. 6, 1711.  He had a son Walter Walters.  Son William.  Brother-in-law, David Mirick.  Friend Christopher Pennock.  Servant, James Winter.  Overseers John Roberts and Edward Rees.  Witnesses, William Edward,  Abel Thomas, Richard Jones.     The Walter Homestead, Lower Merion, was near what is now Bala, on the Philadelphia County line.     11, 18, 1719-20.  Walter Walters, son of Richard, dec'd, of Merion, batchelor, and Mary Winter, daughter of Winter Jones of said twp.,  spinster, at Merion Meeting House.  Wit:  William Walter:  Walter, John and James Winter; Edward Jones.     3, 26, 1720.  William Walter, son of Richard of Merion, yeoman, and Sarah Lewis, of Darby, Chester Co., spinster, at Haverford Meeting House.  Wit:  Walter and Mary Walters;  Abraham, Samuel, Thomas, David, Lewis and Evan Lewis.     An early settler in Merion was John Walter.     The name of Richard Walter is on the List of Taxables, 1693.     Cadwallader, or Cadder Morgan of Merion.  Cadwallader Morgan married Jane Price.  Will proved in Philadelphia, Oct.  10, 1711.  He mentions his brother Lewis Morgan;  brother John Morgan;  Edward Evan "son of my son-in-law, Robert Evan"; and Elizabeth Thomas, "daughter of my son-in-law Abel Thomas."  Mentions son-in-law, robert Evan and son-in-law Abel Thomas.  son-in-law Hugh Evan - Cadwallader, "second son of my son-in-law Robert Evan."  Sarah, wife of said Robert Evan;  sister-in-law, Elizabeth, wife of brother Lewis Morgan, and children.  Overseers, Edward Jones, John Roberts, Moses Roberts, Thos. Jones.        Robert Evan married (1) Jane Morgan.  I believe she was a dau. of Cadwallader and Jane.  Yes.     Jane, a daughter of Cadeallader and Jane Morgan, married Robert Evan.  (Jane died about 1704 ).  Cadwallader Morgan was and "Adventurer on the Ship Lyon".  His name is on the List of Taxables, 1693.  1696.  The Morgan property was on Mill Creek, not far from what is now Narberth.     Hugh Evans of Gwynnedd, and Catharine Morgan, dau. of Cadwallader morgan of Merion, at Merion Meeting Place,  4, 8, 1706.  Wit:  Thomas, Robert, Evan, Owen, Robert, Owen, Cadwallader and John Evans;  Cadwallader and Jane Morgan.     4, 4, 1705.  Robert Evan, of Gwynnedd, yeoman, and Sarah Evans of Merion, at Merion Meeting:  Wit:  Thomas Cadwallader, Robert, Owen, Hugh, Evan, Owen, John, Jane, Sarah, Gwen and Margaret Evans;  Cadwallader and Jane Morgan.
