My mother purchased quite a Carte de Visite album. A Carte de Visite is essentially a calling card with a picture on it. Anyway, it's a rather large album full of pictures. The above etching shows the teacher and pupils at the front of the Rose Hill School. It was taken shortly before the school building was destroyed by fire about thirty-five years agoand the present little frame building was then erected. There is another letter on the letterhead of The American Line S. S. Haverford dated Aug 25 192 at sea. It's a rather boring letter with specifics about the trip and miles traveled each day, how long the ship is and stuff like that. I won't transcribe it.
