In researching the fireworks industry in Elkton, MD, I discovered an article from 1919 about a fire at the "A Jedel Company", a fireworks plant in Newark located on the Cooch's Bridge Rd. I did a patent search and discovered several patents for sparklers by an Aaron Jedel of Manhattan. The 1919 article mentions that the Jedel factory in Newark had had several other fires over the previous "six or seven years". I'm guessing that the factory was in the present-day Delaware or Diamond State Industrial Parks. Can anyone else shed more light on this company for me? Thanks. Fred Kelso Oxford, PA
