S. most Batavia township had an Union church known as Republican that today is the Mt Holly Church of Christ. The new Latter Day Saints- Morman church were among those worshiping in Republican. The Isaac Higbee's, Thomas String [Swede] and Peter Conover were Jerseymen who became Mormans in ClerMONT cO,oHIO,AND MOVed on to w Illinois,and Utah. John Conover lived within 1\2 mile of what became,1970's,the dam of Lake Harsha. His family was akin to the Swedes and Dutch. He moved just north of Pike Co,Ill. I'll say John Conover lived under 2 miles from Robert Peterson in sw Ohio. Any educated guess as to where George Petrson lived before Williamsburg,Oh and Pleasant Mills,NJ would have Salem Co,NJ AT THE HEAD OF THE LIST.
