Regarding the Garrett property on Bethel Road that Dr. Shaffer now owns and erected the old Southery house on: "Thomas Garrett by Deed dated the 12 Day of April 1708 did grant & confirm unto Wm Brown 100 acres of land in Bethell to hold to him & his heirs assign forever. Wm Brown & Esther his wife by Indenture of Lease & Release dated ye 2d & 3d day of May 1710 did grant and confirm unto John Piggott ye sd 100 ac of land. Acltis(?) John Piggot and (unreadable) his wife did grant & confirm ye sd 100 acres of land to Robert Booth and 34 a. & 3/4 part of Anne Eyre's tract.
