Hi One & All, Yesterday, 22 Oct 2002, Ginny DeNENNO & I went to St. Martin's Cemetery to recover metal gravemarkers, which had been removed from graves & were thrown behind a large tree over the years. I asked & received permission from Bruce DORBIAN, Marcus Hook borough manager & director of the Marcus Hook Community Development Corporation. I, also, asked for the rod iron gate from the PHILLIPS burial plot. This gate was torn from the fence & on the ground when I found it 2 years ago. Rev. David RIBEIRO, pastor of the congregation, now in "Old St. Martin's Church" was kind enough to store the gate for us. These items were given to the "new" museum of the Delaware County Historical Society. The metal gravemarkers could not be replaced on the graves because of their condition & no one knows were the graves are today. The following is a list of the items retrieved & some new info that is not in either of the surveys done, in the past, on St. Martin's Cemetery: Name: Date & other info, Foundry named on the back if any: of the metal gravemarkers: 1.
